Plate boundary layer transition regulation based on plasma actuation array at Mach 6

An experimental study on controlling hypersonic boundary layer transition using a surface arc plasma actuation array was conducted. First, base characteristics were analyzed in virtue of various sensors and high-speed schlieren, the criterion established based critical value schlieren spatial power spectral density resolution. Then, influence three different frequencies (8, 34, 55 kHz) studied linear stability theory analysis. The impact dominant unstable waves analyzed, under regulation proposed. Finally, proper orthogonal decomposition method used to analyze characteristic structures. Based research, efficacy promoting is verified, corresponding mechanism summarized, mechanization refined.
